2019 Bella Terra Chardonnay

Tasting Notes: 

The 2019 vintage shows incredible flavour definition. A fantastic frame of acidity, elegance and precision. Located on the original farm on the East side of our vineyards, we hand harvest our Chardonnay from our oldest vines planted in 1988. 

Fermented and aged in predominately neutral French oak barrels, this wine displays an intriguing nose of fresh lemon, yellow apple, apple crumble, chamomile, and toasty spicy aromas. The palate leads to zesty lemon, followed by ripe apple, pear, and nutmeg flavours in this friendly, full-bodied wine. It offers a fantastic richness, persistent fruit, and memories of baking-spice on a long-lasting finish. 

Food Pairing: Grilled Steelhead Trout with Lemon-Herb Butter is a perfect match for this 2019 Chardonnay, it balances the wine's bright acidity and citrus notes with the seafood's mild richness and zesty sauce.
