2020 Bella Terra Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes: Hand harvested from our home vineyard at the front of the winery, in the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation of Niagara-on-the-Lake, this Pinot Noir reflects the boldness of the 2020 vintage with a “New World” approach. It boasts great texture, noticeable concentration, and the structure and backbone to evolve and shine for close to a decade. The nose is expressive, with aromas of red cherry, ripe raspberry, violets, fresh cut herbs, mocha and oak spices. The palate is round and packed with flavours, delivering already soft tannins and melted oak. At first, ripe raspberry, blackberry, and a hint of cranberry. The mid-palate is dense and compact with chocolate, herbs and red berry compote while the back end offers more of the oak profile and toasted spices. Aged for 22 months in neutral French oak barrels to preserve the natural expression of our terroir. 

Food Pairing: Pairs well with slow cooked beef stew and root vegetables or lamb chops with mint drizzle.
