2020 Bella Terra Fumé Blanc

Tasting Note: This French oak aged Sauvignon Blanc grown on our Corus Vineyard represents both the style of a classic Fumé Blanc and the power of the 2020 vintage here in Niagara. The nose unveils a captivating bouquet of grapefruit, buttercream, pear, caramel, and banana. The front-palate is a burst of freshness, with a more classic Sauvignon Blanc character coming across with bright citrus, honeydew melon, and white peach notes, with a touch of fresh garden herbs and mint providing a bit of contrast. The mid-palate and finish are impressive, really showcasing the fullness and richness of the wine. Both the ripeness the grapes attained in 2020, and the time this wine spent in oak are evident, with the rich body and warmth of spice, vanilla, and buttercream leading the show.

Food Pairing: This wine would pair incredibly with a classic Spaghetti Carbonara or a cedar plank grilled trout with a dill cream sauce.
